Macaw Car Park, Chessington World of Adventures

Completed in 2025, the Macaw Car Park project involved the construction of a brand-new 500-space parking facility at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
Transforming a challenging, waterlogged field into a high-quality operational asset, the scheme was designed to increase parking capacity while maintaining a strong focus on drainage performance, landscaping, and visitor experience.

The works included the installation of a comprehensive attenuation drainage system, extensive underground ducting infrastructure, thousands of metres of kerbing, and large-scale asphalt surfacing throughout the site. Significant landscaping works were also undertaken to create an attractive and sustainable environment, including the laying of over 6,000m² of turf and extensive planting to ensure the car park blended seamlessly into its surroundings.

Delivered within a live theme park environment, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the works while maintaining day-to-day resort operations. The project was successfully completed on programme and to an exceptionally high standard, providing Chessington World of Adventures with a durable, accessible, and visually appealing parking facility capable of supporting future visitor demand.

The finished development not only delivers additional parking capacity but also creates a welcoming green space that enhances the arrival experience for guests from the moment they enter the resort.
